RULES & REGULATIONS
The Greater Issaquah Chamber must approve all entries.
Entries must observe all applicable rules and regulations and follow all instructions from law enforcement and parade officials. The Parade Committee, Issaquah Salmon Days Festival, and the Greater Issaquah Chamber of Commerce reserve the right to remove any entrant from the parade, prior to assembly, at assembly, or at any time during the parade.
No items may be tossed or thrown out along the parade route for safety purposes.
However, parade participants may hand out items, including wrapped candy, to parade spectators.
NO Balloons of any size or type are allowed in the Parade
Parade participants may not mingle with or accost parade route spectators.
No items may be sold along the parade route.
Marching units are permitted only forward movement maneuvers. All units are required to close the gap between units when instructed by the parade officials.
Alcoholic beverages, vaping, or smoking are forbidden. Participants consuming alcohol prior to or during the parade will be removed from the lineup.
Participants are responsible for their travel and lodging expenses, food, etc.
All children in the Parade must be under the direct control and supervision of an adult(s).
Parade participants must ensure they conform to the State’s RCW49.60.030 Freedom from Discrimination law and that there is no posting, wearing of, or use of items that violate the anti-hate crime laws.
A Certificate of Liability Insurance is needed and must be mailed to the Chamber Office.
The Greater Issaquah Chamber of Commerce and Salmon Days Festival must be listed as additionally insured with a $1,000,000 or greater liability.
Entries with animals must ensure the animals are under control via leash and/or direct physical control. Animals must be comfortable around crowds and other animals.
Owners are responsible for cleanup after their animals.
Parade route: Starting at Confluence Park, the parade will proceed down Rainier Blvd N, before turning onto NW Dogwood St, and turning again to proceed north on Front St. Finally, participants will turn right and head down the south side of NE Gilman Blvd before reaching the dispersal area. Parade participants will proceed from the end of the parade back toward the start via NE Dogwood St.
